Vamos a analizarlas.
Third entry of my "In & Out" series (1st and 2nd here), today two new versions of classic creams by Caudalie and L'Occitane: L'Occitane Cherry Blossom and Caudalie Pamplemousse Rose.
I need to tell you that the classic versions of these creams are my favorite by far, but I wanted to try something fresher and lighter for the summertime, so I picked up these two.
Envase.
Both creams come in a small travel-friendly silver tube containing 30 ml, can be squeezed till they're empty, and they are perfect to carry in your purse and reapply as needed.
Texture and Moisturizing.
Both are white creams with a rich texture, if you seek something light then forget about these two, yet they are lighter than the original editions. Caudalie's edition is thicker, but it's faster absorbed than L'Occitane's.
The moisturizing level is very similar on both, leaving a pleasant sensation of softness and nutrition on my skin without greasy feeling, but as I have mentioned, the original creams are more moisturizing, especially L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand cream, the original.
As you can see, Caudalie hand cream is thicker than L'Occitane's one.
Perfume.
Scent.
Both scents are fresh, light and pleasant, Caudalie is more citric, L'Occitane softer and powdered. As for the duration of the scent L'Occitane stays longer on my hands, without being heavy in any case. Caudalie is very energizing, but disappears almost completely within a few seconds.
Ingredients.
Here's where you can find more differences between these two hand creams, Caudalie cream has 98% of natural ingredients, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal origin ingredients. Quite the opposite, its main ingredients are grape seed oil, avocado oil and shea butter.
The ingredients of L'Occitane hand cream have not been chosen so carefully, because although it also contains natural ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, cera alba, sunflower oil and rosemary extract, it does contain silicones and phenoxyethanol.
Price.
Some differences in this section too, L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream is 7,50 €, and Caudalie Pamplemousse Hand Cream costs about € 5.60.
Eventually two of my favourite hand cream perfect for Summertime. If you are looking for moisturizing and and a long-lasting pleasant fragrance, your option is L'Occitane. If you opt for cleaner ingredients with good absorption, thicker consistency and better price, I recommend you to try Caudalie.
